Tenerife possesses an extensive and modern road network supported by two big motorways which link the chief town, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the one hand to the south, and ,on the other hand to the south. Around these two big roads, there is a complex network used by the traditional village settlements. There exists an important secondary road network between this complex system and the big motorways which link the seaboard with the halfway points. The road network is complemented with a modern system of public land transport . |
